Zurich Part 2

Ao fim da rua, em Munzplatz, localiza-se a Augustinerkirche, uma pequena igreja católica bem simples, construída em 1270, e que foi uma oficina de produção de moedas após a reforma da Igreja da Suiça, que é na sua maioria protestante.

At the end of the street, in Munzplatz, is the Augustinerkirche, a very simple small Catholic church, built in 1270, which was a workshop for coin production after the reform of the Church of Switzerland, who is mostly Protestant.

Continuamos, então, à descoberta por estas pequenas ruas medievais e pedonais. A cada recanto uma surpresa!

We were still uncovered by these small medieval and pedestrian streets. Every corner a surprise!

Subimos em direção a Lindenhof, a colina da cidade, onde se podem tirar excelentes fotografias do rio e do outro lado cidade. Ainda nesta zona encontram a igreja de São Pedro, que acabei por não visitar.

We climb towards Lindenhof, the hill of the city, where you can take excellent pictures of the river and the other side of the city. Still in this area they find the church of São Pedro, which I didn’t visit.

Preferi passear mais um pouco pela cidade baixa e apreciar os vários restaurantes e lojas, mesmo não comprando nada.

I preferred to stroll a little more through the downtown and enjoy the various restaurants and shops, even not buying anything.

Na cidade baixa, visitamos a igreja Fraumunster, conhecida como a igreja das mulheres, pois inicialmente era uma abadia para senhoras da aristocracia, nas margens do rio Limmat.

In the lower town, we visited the Fraumunster church, known as the women’s church, as it was initially an abbey for women of the aristocracy, on the banks of the Limmat River.

O rio que torna a cidade muito mais bela. Aliás, como vos disse no Instagram, adoro cidades com rios. Afinal, eu tive o prazer de nascer numa delas, o Porto!

The river that makes the city much more beautiful. Moreover, as I told you in Instagram, I love cities with rivers. After all, I had the pleasure of being born in one of them, Oporto!
